What callers hear right now
When someone calls your number and presses a box number, this is the greeting they hear. The box name is the short recording that says what the box is. Only box 5 lets callers leave a message — every other box just plays its greeting.

Two ways to change a greeting
By phone
Call your Voice Center number, enter the access code, press * for the host menu, then choose Manage greeting → Change greeting. Record your message, press # to stop, then press 1 to save it.
By this page
Record above and press Use this as the new greeting. It is sent straight to the phone system as a .WAV file. If that ever fails, press Download the sound file and upload it yourself on the SimpleVoiceCenter website (it takes .WAV or .MP3).
Recordings you saved for later
These live on this computer only. Big ones are downloaded to your Downloads folder instead, because the browser can't hold them.
Name your boxes
Give each number a name you'll recognise. The name shows up everywhere in this app. Changes save when you click away.
Backup
Saves a file with your notes, stars and box names. Keep it somewhere safe — you can put it back later or on another computer.

How this works
Your notes, stars and box names are stored in this browser on this computer — nothing is sent anywhere. The recordings themselves stay on the phone company's server and play straight from there, because they are far too big to keep here. That's why you need to be online to listen, and why a backup file is worth keeping.
